šØš»āš» I am a second-year PhD student at the University of Michigan School of Information.
š My research interests are in knowledge and cultural production, science of science, and science and technology public policy. More specifically, Iām interested in the sociocultural factors that inspire the creation of new knowledge, as well as policies that promote novel and useful science.
š¬ To answer these interdisciplinary questions, I use approaches from the computational social science and applied microeconomics toolkits.
š«±š½āš«²š¼ My current work is advised by Misha Teplitskiy, and I am a member of the Disco Lab. I am serving as a School of Information steward and co-head steward for the professional schools for the Graduate Employees Organization and an elected member of the SI Doctoral Executive Committee (DEC).
š I received my B.A./M.S. 4+1 in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco, where I wrote a thesis advised by Jesse Anttila-Hughes.
